Welcome to Park Ridge Recreational Baseball, where players from Pre-K through 8th grade come together to share the love of the game.

From the littlest sluggers taking their first swings, to the more experienced players honing their skills, our rec program offers a nurturing environment for growth and development at every level.  With teams spanning various grade levels, each game is a testament to the dedication and teamwork fostered within our community.

Coaches emphasize teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, preparing players for competitive play while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

EQUIPMENT

The PRAA supplies teams with basic equipment including: jerseys, hats, catchers equipment, and baseballs. Players should use their own helmets, gloves and bats.  All bats must meet PRAA Baseball Rules’ specifications (with USA Baseball sticker), which are strictly enforced for child safety. Use of heart guards and athletic cups for all players are also required under PRAA Baseball Rules.

PLAYER & TEAM SELECTION PROCESS

Ideal roster size is generally about 12 players, which allows for ample playing time, gaining valuable practice/game experience and fostering continued baseball skill development.  It should be noted that summer travel is a more competitive playing environment, and some players may be better suited for “intermediate” level teams.  Nevertheless, when player interest and coach availability allow, PRAA Baseball will always do its best to field as many summer travel teams as possible.

As a result, a decision must be made by some families that have children who may have started school late or are “older” for their grade.  Each Rec Baseball season, every family has the option to “play with their grade” and enjoy playing baseball with their friends or “play up” in an older division.

Please contact the commissioner or baseball committee members with any questions.
